The homogeneous groups of soils gather the soils identified in the detailed studies carried out in the Cauca river valley, in a total area of 216,765 hectares where sugarcane cultivation predominates. For the grouping, the following factors were taken into account: (a) Textural family, (b) Edaphic moisture regime, (c) Effective soil depth.
