Description:
Cenicaña created “The School of Irrigators” as a strategy to strengthen the skills of the people in charge of irrigation and in this way promote the efficient use of water resources.
On this occasion the course will focus on irrigation management gravity and will be aimed at irrigation managers, technicians in charge of the work and personnel who manage groups of irrigators. Through 8 sessions theoretical-practical days viernes 5, 12, 19, 26 de April; 3, 10, 17 y 24 de may, where the different aspects related to irrigation management will be addressed, type of soil, water surface, flow rate, advance time and speed of advance of the water will be some of the parameters that will be addressed during the course.

Alberto Mario Arroyo
Soil and water researcher in the agronomy program – Cenicaña.
Graduated in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Sucre, Master and Doctor in irrigation and drainage from the University of the State of Sao Paulo – UNESP, he has experience in Agricultural Engineering, with emphasis on Irrigation and Drainage, working mainly on the following topics: water management water in irrigated agriculture, irrigation system design, hydrology and fertiirrigation.
