Cenicaña recognizes the environmental contribution of El Hatico

On October 7, Cenicaña presented Carlos Hernando Molina, representative of the Molina Durán family in charge of the El Hatico nature reserve, a plaque in recognition of the environmental work carried out in the region.

The event took place during the Cenicaña Board of Directors meeting, held in the Farallones Hall, in Asocaña.

El Hatico has 285 hectares, 15 of which correspond to the largest tropical dry forest in the Cauca river valley, 25 hectares with guadua; 110, grown with sugar cane; and 135, intended for livestock activities. Regarding sugar cane, El Hatico is distinguished because it develops an agroecological production model.
