Stem

Average height between 2.5-2.7 m, erect, with a gently zigzag arrangement of internodes. Internode: Cylindrical, 13 cm long and 27.9-32.4 mm in diameter. Yellowish-purple when not exposed to sunlight and purplish-yellow when exposed. It has little wax and the bud canal is absent. Node: It has a growth ring with moderate prominence. Bud: Oval and does not extend beyond the growth ring.

Average length 14cm, width 5.6cm, curved tip. Leaf: purplish-green with abundant dorsal fuzz. Auricle: short, lanceolate, asymmetrical; defoliation is easy.
