Relay in the administrative direction of Cenicaña

Cenicaña has established itself as one of the cane research centers Cenicaña has established itself as one of the most important sugarcane research centers in the world.

Behind the scientific and research work for which Cenicaña has achieved international recognition, there is also an administrative management that has allowed the Center to strengthen and grow, according to the needs of the Colombian sugar sector.

For 34 years, Nohra Pérez Castillo was in charge of guiding Cenicaña on that purpose, but from 2013 that work will be undertaken by Einar Anderson Acuña, who until December 2012 served as head of the Center's Information Technology Service.

“Without a doubt, having contributed to the structuring of Cenicaña, ensuring efficient management of the Center's financial resources and maintaining communication and interaction with the mills and growers are just some of Dr. Nohra's great contributions in 34 years of commitment to the entity, ”said Álvaro Amaya, director of Cenicaña.

For his part, Einar Anderson Acuña, Industrial Engineer of the Autonomous University of the West, has been linked to the Center since 1997. His professional career also includes the Regional Telecommunications Company, ERT, and Carvajal SA, where he served as national coordinator of systems.

As head of the Cenicaña Information Technology Service, Einar Anderson led the structuring of the Service as a fundamental support entity in the entity for the development of software infrastructure and projects.

“I know there is a very big challenge going forward. We have to continue determined that Cenicaña continues to grow, in continuing to offer the sugar sector the tools to be more profitable, more sustainable and more respectful of the environment and that people feel happy to work in this institution, ”said Einar Anderson.
