XXXII Centenary Congress of the ISSCT
This week, Cenicaña reaffirmed its commitment and work in the sugarcane agroindustry, highlighting its role as a driving force of science and innovation. XXXII Centenary Congress of the ISSCT It began with a visit to our Experimental Station facilities by researchers and professionals from different countries. This marked a milestone for Cenicaña, demonstrating its high level and development in research, technology, and sustainability around sugarcane cultivation.
Subsequently, during the four-day academic agenda, which took place at the Valle del Pacífico Events Center, we had extensive participation in the various topics: Biology, Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Manufacturing, By-products and Management. This event, and our participation in it, underscores Cenicaña's commitment to transforming the sector, offering solutions and services in key areas such as the field, harvesting, manufacturing, and climate, and promoting the use of technologies that lead us to a more productive and sustainable agribusiness every day.

Training in water resources in the Amaime River basin
As part of the project "Strengthening and Connecting Ecological Connectivity Protection Corridors for Sustainable Water Resource Management in the Amaime River Basin," Cenicaña conducted theoretical and practical training at the Jesusita and La Marina estates of the Riopaila Castilla Sugar Mill.
The day focused on the determination of the volume of water applied per hectare in sugarcane cultivation. Key topics were addressed such as the dynamics of soil moisture and the importance of water resources, culminating in a practical session where the installation and use of the RBC gutter, a technology that facilitates the measurement of flow rates in furrows.
The main objective of this training was to strengthen staff capacities in efficient water resource management, promoting its conservation and improving the efficiency of gravity-fed irrigation.
