Training in waste management and use of personal protective equipment
The main objectives of this training were to optimize the management of waste generated on the farm, with a view to building an ecological point; ensure the proper management and final disposal of agrochemical packaging; encourage the rational use of PPE; and facilitate the identification of appropriate protective elements for each task, thus promoting safer and more sustainable agricultural practices. The training was aimed at the operational and administrative staff of Ingenio Providencia, the Guachicona farm, and Granja Santa Cruz itself. This session focused on the Solid waste management, the protocol of triple wash of packaging and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for agricultural activities.

Evaluation of foreign matter in the factory
The event promoted capacity building among the mill's staff to separate foreign matter from samples taken with the Core Sampler, in accordance with the methodology standardized by the sugarcane agroindustry for this purpose. The training employed a fun and educational technique to accelerate the teaching-learning process using the educational game developed by Cenicaña called CoMaEx (Foreign Matter Components). The team worked alongside the quality/laboratory coordinators and operational staff responsible for component separation. This initiative is essential to ensuring the quality of the sugarcane production process.

Training in integrated weed management
Through a practical workshop, attendees were able to recognize the different species of weeds, understanding the importance of an integrated approach to their control and thus optimizing crop productivity. Aimed at field staff and sugarcane growers from the Kitsuka 1, Kitsuka 3, and El Recreo estates, the main objective of this session was to strengthen their knowledge and skills in the identification and effective management of weeds.

Irrigation school: practical session on window irrigation
The fundamental purpose of this activity was to enable participants to practically identify opportunities for improvement in irrigation operations, thereby strengthening the efficiency and quality of this vital resource for sugarcane cultivation. This time, the training focused on a specialized practice of window irrigation, addressed to a group of stewards and irrigators who are part of the suppliers of the Pichichí Sugar Mill.

CAR Training: Administrative Control of Irrigation
The workshop, held for the staff and sugarcane growers of the Haciendas La Unión and La Alsacia Saavedra, located in Guacarí, focused on efficient water resource management, covering the purpose and methodology of this control. Additionally, the workshop delved into the flow measurement according to the different irrigation methods implemented on the farms, culminating in a field practice This allowed participants to familiarize themselves with measurement tools. This initiative seeks to optimize water management, a fundamental pillar for the sustainability and productivity of sugarcane cultivation.

Drainage course: practical session
This practical workshop brought together area managers, water resource managers, and supervisors, who had the opportunity to delve into essential drainage concepts. Topics covered included: water table and piezometric level, as well as wet work. A central component of the session was the practice of drilling water table observation wells and the demonstration of subsoil work, crucial elements for efficient water management in crops and the optimization of agricultural productivity in the region.
