Training in waste management and use of personal protective equipment
The main objectives of this workshop were to optimize the management of waste generated at the La Cabaña sugar mill, with the aim of establishing an ecological point; ensure the proper management and final disposal of agrochemical packaging; encourage the rational use of PPE; and facilitate the identification of suitable protective elements for each task, thus promoting safer and more sustainable agricultural practices. The session focused on the comprehensive solid waste management, the protocol of triple wash of packaging and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for agricultural activities.

GTT in field design and precision agriculture for mechanized harvesting
This event brought together suppliers and field professionals from the Risaralda Sugar Mill to witness the preparation of a plot of land for the renewal of sugarcane cultivation. The event focused on raising awareness about the importance of a appropriate field design and precision agriculture (PA) work, using available technology to anticipate and mitigate damage during harvest. Key topics covered included: field design and quality parameters to prevent trampling y crop damage, quality of the base cut, Leveling guided by a topographic commission, and land preparation (subsoil, polished, and furrowed) along with the sowing work. This initiative underscores Cenicaña's commitment to optimizing agricultural processes for greater efficiency and productivity.

GTT: Stay up to date on pests and diseases!
With the participation of suppliers and technical staff At the Manuelita sugar mill, the main objective of this session was to update and inform about the management of the main pests and diseases that affect sugarcane crops. The session included detailed presentations on pests such as Diatraea and the Spit, and diseases such as rusts, smut, and yellow leaf virus, describing their monitoring and control processes. The activity culminated with a recognition practice in the field, allowing attendees to directly identify the effects and apply the acquired knowledge for more efficient and protective crop management.
