Mechanical Harvesting Quality Training: A Focus on Cut Quality

This field day, designed for professionals in the area of ​​Agronomy (Quality of work and Technical Control), focused on the quality of the base and stub cut in mechanical harvesting. Within the framework of the macroproject CATE Phase II.

The main objective of the activity was establish unified criteria to evaluate the quality of the stump and the cane piece. During the session, the measurement technique for the different components of the cut was explained, doubts about these metrics were clarified, and their importance in achieving greater quality was emphasized. efficiency and effectiveness during harvesting. The training not only provided theoretical knowledge but also ensured that staff could correctly apply the indicators in the field, which directly contributes to improve productivity and performance in the cultivation of sugarcane.
