In October we will join COP16 by opening our doors so you can learn how we are moving towards a more sustainable agroindustry.
Explore the world of sugarcane up close and discover how science and technology are transforming the future of the sugar sector and the region.
Our crew
On this trip we have had the honor of witnessing different groups of crew members.
First, on October 10, 2024, the presidents of the Community Action Board of the municipality of Guacarí, invited by Ingenio Pichichí, accompanied us at our Experimental Station.
Later, on October 17, students from Montessori Cali School, who belong to a research group made up of different grades, visited our facilities.
Research and technologies to protect water resources in basins and low-lying areas, support from our extension workers in adopting sustainable practices, how we carry out biological pest control in sugar cane crops and how we take advantage of every last leaf in our diversification process were the topics discussed during these first visits.
We thank these first adventurers for their willingness and approach to the sugar cane agroindustry. We hope to continue working together for the benefit of the community.
A ticket to science
This initiative is a unique opportunity for the community, students and professionals to visit our facilities and learn about the work we do in research, innovation and technology for the sugarcane agro-industrial sector.
