Goal

To provide theoretical and practical training for professionals based on crop needs, such as permanent wilting point, crop water requirements, and rapidly available water table (LARA), and to schedule irrigation based on water balance calculations. The Gotas technology, a network of automated rain gauges for the Colombian sugarcane agroindustry that provides detailed and accurate precipitation information in real time, was also presented.
