Profile 1:
We are seeking a final-year Mechanical Engineering student interested in mechanical design, finite elements, data analysis, and machine learning focused on maintenance and failure prediction. The internship will be conducted in an interdisciplinary environment within Cenicaña's Factory Processes Program, supporting the development of predictive maintenance models, monitoring the grinding process, and manufacturing of mills.
The candidate must have knowledge of mechanical design, maintenance, finite elements, Python and Matlab programming skills, analytical thinking, and commitment, proactivity, and a willingness to work in a team.
Profile 2:
Final-year Mechanical Engineering student with an emphasis on fluid mechanics, thermal energy, and related topics. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of mass and energy balances, CFD simulation, data management and analysis, and Python programming.
The internship will be carried out in the Cenicaña Factory Processes Program, supporting modeling activities, energy performance analysis, and validation of technological alternatives in sugar mills.
Conditions of the practice
Cenicaña has two (2) vacancies available to link Mechanical Engineering students for the second semester of 2025.
Formation
Be an active student in the last semesters (9 or 10).
General Information
- Work hours: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
- Includes transportation en route from Cali or Palmira to the experimental station
