Required: Field Research Assistant

Type of contract: 

An initial fixed-term contract.

Purpose of the charge

Support hydro-climatological data monitoring and analysis activities within the soil and water area of the Agronomy research program, aimed at contributing to the optimization and efficiency of the regional hydrological monitoring network, ensuring the collection, validation, and reporting of accurate information for decision-making.

Academic training and experience:

• Soil and water technologist, agro-environmental or agricultural.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with communities
• Experience in monitoring, planning and management of water resources.
• Driving license categories A2 and B1

Technical knowledge in:

• Environmental monitoring
• Data analysis and writing of technical reports.
• Basic handling of office tools (Word, Excel)
• Management of geographic information systems (QGIS) (Desirable)
• Calibration and operation of hydrological parameter measuring equipment.

• Assertive communication.

• Orientation to results.
• Management capacity.

General Information

• Work hours: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
• Includes transportation en route from Cali or Palmira to the experimental station
