Physical losses. PIder | M4. Workshop
1 July 2020 | 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

During the OnLine event, we will be talking about:
Application of tools for the quantification of sucrose losses in evaporation condensates and cans.
In this event we will address the Workshop from Module 4 (M4) of the virtual training: Strategies to identify, quantify and mitigate sources of undetermined losses. (The short title of this training is Indeterminate losses o PIN).
Start date and time: 01 Jul 2020 | 10:30 am. Cali, Colombia. (UTC -5)
Duration: 90 minutes (OnLine event)
Dedication: In addition to the OnLine event, 90 minutes of individual participant work (at your own pace, in the time the participant has).
Addressed to: Technical staff of the sugar mills

Work methodology (virtual training):
The methodology is based on the exposition of contents of the facilitator during the OnLine event and a subsequent individual practice of the participant, and feedback information between both, which will be done through this Classroom platform.
- After the OnLine event, the participant must access the Classroom platform to receive the installation instructions for the simulation software. For the following modules, access the tools designed by Cenicaña that will be on this same platform.
- In the following week the participant receives induction in the handling of the simulation tools and work material for the development of a practical exercise
- The participant individually develops the workshop delivered by the facilitator and this one solves the doubts that the participant publishes on the Classroom platform
- After solving the workshop, the participant sends the facilitator the response variables indicated by the facilitator, with a response deadline (one week).
- Cenicaña certifies attendance to the OnLine event to the participants who send the feedback requested in the workshops of each module.
Learning objectives:
At the end of the training participants will be able to:
- Identify sources of undetermined losses.
- Quantify sources of undetermined losses.
- Assess the source's contribution to undetermined losses
- Implement mitigation plans for sources of undetermined losses.
Overview of virtual training in PInder (All modules):
The other modules of the virtual training will be developed with the same work methodology (OnLine Event + Individual Work of the Participant + Virtual Evaluation + feedback information). You can check the scheduled events and register from www.cenicana.org/events.
The full content of the training is:
- M1. Basics of undetermined losses and apparent losses. (May 15, 2020)
- M2. Thermal losses (May 27, 2020)
- M3. Investment losses (Jun 10, 2020)
- M4. Physical losses (Jun 24, 2020)
- Workshop (Jul 01, 2020)
Comment:
The Participant can register in the modules they want. No module is a prerequisite for another. Attendance to each OnLine module will be certified when the Participant completes the virtual assessment before the end of the response deadline.
Computer use is recommended portable or desktop to develop each workshop. For OnLine events where the contents of each module are presented, the Participant can connect from any device, including by cell phone (mobile phone).
