Purpose of the charge
Requirements:
- University degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or related fields.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in biomass conversion processes, bioprocesses, biogas or energy recovery of organic waste.
- Knowledge of material and energy balances, conversion efficiency, and physicochemical characterization of biomasses.
Required knowledge:
- Biomass-to-energy conversion processes, including biological and thermochemical routes.
- Technology assessment and comparative analysis of energy conversion routes.
- Advanced Excel skills and technical data analysis tools.
- Search and analysis of information from primary and secondary sources (technology providers, technical literature, success stories, energy and biomass databases).
- Drafting of technical reports, technology sheets and calculation reports.
Main functions of the position:
- Identify and classify technologies for pretreatment, processing and transformation of residual biomass.
- Estimate the useful energy potential by type of biomass and technology, applying conversion efficiencies.
- Support the evaluation of the technical and operational feasibility of regional technology routes.
- Document results in technical sheets and progress reports.

General Information
- Work hours: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
- Includes transportation en route from Cali or Palmira to the experimental station
